GMC for style, Duramax for pulling power, Allison to get the TQ to the ground, and BLUE to color tie to boat. Face it, you won't do graphics on your truck to match your boat. Joe Murray

2005 Chevy has a more "bulled" front end than the 2003 & 2004. It looks better than the 'Avalanche' front end. They are all different front ends though.

GL, go with the black. Black Duallys unbelievably tough with the windows blacked out, and all the chrome off of it. I have had black/dark vehicles before, and yes, the upkeep of keeping the paint polished and clean, was tough, BUT... the new Mr. Clean Jet-Dry makes washing any vehicle, dark or light, a dream, as you do not need to bust ass drying to get rid of water spots. It makes maintaining a dark vehicle MUCH easier; IMHO nearly as easy as a light vehicle.

I think you'll get more responses than you think in this section. I've been waiting for OSO to do this for a long time. Members will come here looking to discuss trucks and that will help you replies I think.

I'm looking forward to using this section.

As for the Black or White question....tough one. Not a big fan of either one myself. Everytime I see a white truck I think of a commercial truck and we all know why black is no fun.

I sold the white one and bought the black one. My next truck will be white

The only thing that saves me is a semi truck wash down the street at the highway interchange

The White truck looks better hooked up to the boat but the black is nice by itself when clean.

Black looks great when it's clean, but awful when dirty. I vote white! Also, black gets HOT HOT HOT in the summer....

Re: Pull Rig Black or White

To me its a toss up when the truck is pulling the boat .....they both look equally good.......its easy to tie the graphics of the boat into the white and look good.......although Fam Perf B Mag did a nice job tieing a black Ford into a Baja project boat a couple of yrs ago.......but IMO without the boat black looks WAY better......with no boat white looks like a work truck.......you cant see the chrome.......black with lots of chrome looks downright mean.......black

Although to me the ULTIMATE set up would be take the blue from the graphics, paint the trailer AND the truck the same...... ULTIMATE COOL!!!!
Check the GM paint options GLH you might get lucky!!!
My Sub is going to need paint soon and Im thinking of doing that with the deep purple in the graphics.....you see that deep purple on PT Cruisers and stuff
