32' coming soon
It's official. We decided to hold off on tooling the 27 FC and go straight to tooling a 32. We are going full throttle on this project in order to have one in time for the LA show 2008. This will be a true tunnel, 10' beam, 32' length, full single canopy, full inner liner boat.
http://www.hotboat.com/image_center/..._Shadow_FC.jpg "32 will be the full length. Running surface just over 30. We are now doing a lot of one off custom tooling. So anything is possible for finished styling. We do offer front and back cap, as well as full cap. Yes, it is being designed to accept 6 drives. Lay up will depend on what the customer wants. We can do a standard wet lay, vaccum bag, pre preg epoxy, or resin infusion. We have done aout five times as many resin infused boats as any West coast custom builder has done, so we're pretty good at it. The full canopy will be a lot like the one going on our 26 Steatlh. We will have a poker run edition available. Most people are showing interest in having the driver/throttle man configuration with the buckets together and throttles in the middle. Most will be set up as a "fast" cat style, but we will build whatever the customer wants. So some mid cabin seats. porta potti, bed, set up will be offered too. It will be able to run in the ocean. http://www.hotboat.com/image_center/...2_bottom_4.jpg |

very nice boats, just a few comments-- the recessed line in the side towards the back is out of place, no purpose, what is the extension knotch at the back of the bustle for. the raised portion on the deck looks like the older catamarans ,would look better with a flat deck area between the sponsons, maybe with a naca duct before the area that raises to the windshield, the front of the tunnel and angles connectioning to sponsons is too thick, looks and more aerodynamics if thinner, just comments from midwest catamaran lovers, have you thought about laying it up with Tegris composite material, awesome product,

Thanks for the great feed back on the project. The best way to talk about all the tricks on this boat is to remmber we are building these per order. Basicly if someone wanted to smooth it out we can do that. The area between the hatch is set to have custom billet steps that insert into the slots. But once again if someone wanted it smooth we can remove them and give a smooth center. The spot that looks thick can even infact be cut back if requested we gave room for the riggers to have access. the trick comes in the rear we have custom retractable lader on the back.

Looks great.
Will there be a head and/or cabin? The plug looks like it has doors on either side (AKA the Nor-tech) for access or storage. When will the first boat hit the water? |
if the boat gods smile on us we should have the first ready for the LA Boat Show. As for Interior we are going by the order on what goes in.
