32' Velocity
Has anyone had any experience owning one? How does it handle? I've been told that they are a handfull to run.

Re: 32' Velocity
The 320 takes some seat time to learn how to drive it. Yes it's a driver's boat but if you invest the time to learn it and how to respond to changing conditions you'll be rewarded with a very fast boat that handles way better then most at typical speeds and is on par with other 30' hulls at very high speeds.

Re: 32' Velocity
We had a couple of 26s (twin and single) and a couple of 32s, again, twin and single.
Our twin engine 32 did take some driving and was somewhat of a handful but I might attribute that to the fact that we had it built with Volvo 8.2 GSi motors with DPX drives. I don't think that the DPX and the Velocity hull were a marriage made in heaven but that was our choice. The boat did tend to be very bow happy and would drop its stern into any trough. Our single engine blower motor boat handled like a dream. The old race deck 30 I have raced recently has a couple of big blocks and Speedmasters and is much better behaved than the 32 with the DPX drives. |
