which prop? for 290sc '04 502ci 525hp
 

I just bought a 2004 velocity 290sc single. It has a 30 pitch lab bravo prop on it know. and it cavitates like crazy at around 40-50mph and you put the hammer down it cavitates. i was woundering what everybody thinks I should put on my boat? thank you another velocity owner. ps. the enigne is a 502 525 hp merc racing enigine. it dynos at 540 hp.

I have an 05 with the same power.The prop for that boat is a p5x Hydro.27 pitch.No cavitation,and runs 82 mph at 5400 rpm.I ran the Bravo 30 on my boat and had the same problem.110 hours on my 290 now,what an awsome ride.Let me know if I can help.Tom Ashley.

thank you for all the help you guys gave me. Velocity4Me thank you for your info. we have a 28 bravo 4 blade labbed on the way brand new. so if this new 28 dosent work im gonna defnatily go with the prop you reccomended. will you tell the place you got the prop from thank you.
