Bad Dates on Velocity Poker Run Event Grid

You may have recently received a letter from Velocity Powerboats which included a one-page “IMC/Velocity Poker Run Event Grid - (Considered)”.

Unfortunately several of last year’s Event Dates were inadvertently copied into the 2007 Event Grid. Putting one of these grids together is more complex then you might think and it’s really easy to make a mistake. While I haven’t checked every date on the grid, there are two in particular that stand out - specifically the 2007 Velocity Fest and the 2007 Lake Norman “Charlotte Poker Run”. In 2006 these events happened on the same weekend and I’m writing you to let you know this isn’t the case for 2007 and the Velocity event grid is in error.

As I had previously indicated, Steve Teeter and I are currently working on spreading the dates as best we can so folks can attend both events in 2007. We already have a couple of dates in mind which Steve will talk to the Carolina Powerboat Club about and I’ll discuss with the Velocity Fest steering group. We hope to have the two dates squared away in February.

Thanks and sorry about any confusion.

Mike is the lake norman run kid friendly. We want to come down, but we cn't do it without the kids. They are 11 and 14.

Yes, it was a kid friendly run last year.

We don't have the details worked out for this year yet, but it should be set up in a similar manner.
