I'd like to thank Ducky's Boats in Middletown PA for buying my Velocity. I can't thank them enough. If anyone is interested in buying it from them it's listed for $23,999 (without power and drive.) They will repower per customer needs. Includes AmeriTrail tandeum trailer. Boat has offshore mounts, Mayfair dual ram steering, K-Tabs, VHF, dual batteries, upgraded hull, Pioneer stereo, etc.

I was wondering where it went? Anything else in the near future?

Hello VelocityRick,
Congratulations on your new purchase. I road in a 28' Pantera this past season and they are nice!
I called the dealer yesterday to get a little more info and some pictures of your old boat. They said they would e-mail me the pics and give me your phone number.
I'm sure the pics will come at some point. Would you mind giving me your # and a good time to call.
Thanks!

Sure will. I just saw Tom yesterday and he said that you were interested. Tom, Rick, and the family are great people and they have really went far beyond my expectations. They are great at rigging and powering these types of boats. When I went to leave somewhere around 8:00 they were still outside rigging a boat. With a slow market and fuel prices on the rise it's nice to see a dealer going the extra mile to insure a happy customer. I'll PM you my number.

Awesome, Pat. That hull is rock solid and runs very well. Give me a call if you need anything.

How about a prop with my 502Mag?
I'm guessing a 26p B1, left or right?

I finally found some time to work on the boat.
Here are a few shots from my camera phone.
As you can see, we dropped in a big hunk of cast iron.

It was the first time the marina's new toy got used.
I take some better pics with a real camera when I drag her home to finish the job.

Wow. Looks great Pat. Give me a call. They were labeled, but I have pics to help you. I don't know who does the rigging for Velocity, but they had wires everywhere. It's wired exactly the same as a standard 502. Pull the wiring schematic from Mercruiser and match the wire color to each sender.

Thanks Rick...
I have the Merc books for my engine (1997 502Mag MPI). I'm sure the harness will plug in and most everything will work. It will just be the stuff that is not standard on most boats like oil temp and such.
One question for you: Where both batteries mounted on the port side when you ran a right hand prop?

I bought the boat with both batteries in the port side. The prop has alway been left handed. You will have to switch the cables to the throttle to run a right handed prop. Ducky's still has my old prop. I'd get it.

Hmmm...
Now you've got me rethinking my purchase of a RH prop.
I'll call Tom and ask what they want for the old prop.

Vicious22 04-20-2008 06:55 PM

Ricky,

He's gonna be runnin different power than you. The prop might be a little tall.

I think your gonna miss the V. That pantera bottom isn't gonna hang this year:D:D

It will definitely take some getting used to the low freeboard and cadillac ride. The Pantera needs about another 200 horse power and some 5 footers.

I talked with Tom and he wants $400 for the LH 26p Hydro.
I'm going to try my buds LH 26p B1 and my RH 26p B1 back to back and se how she runs before buying another prop.
