eBay 30'

I love these old 30's. I used to daydream about them back in the 80's.

In need of some TLC!!!! I would have waited for the water to quit running out of it before I took the pics of the transom. !!! These 30's keep popping up, I may take on a new project!

Just the standard soggy Velocity transom . Nothing out of the ordinary, better the water drain out, than get stuck in there.

We've got a 32' Raceboat..brand new transom by Rich Sutphen..still needs work to complete....if you're looking for a project..??

Thanks Bodyshot. Prob a little more than I want to spend though. It would need to have some creature comforts for the wife as well! Personally I like the budget projects, they are so rewarding in the end!

Now you see the advantage of the "Beak", it's still above water. I'll bet that wasn't caused by a soggy transom.

Agreed - a far more serious Fountain structural problem caused this sinking. (I realize this is just my conjecture about a SPECIFIC boat that I know nothing about but that seems to be a trend or perhaps a life style for some so why not? Seriously - isn't it time to let go of such a tired topic, archive it just to remind folks to always get a survey on old boat before they buy and move on to something else?)

My boat's amenities consist of a drywall bucket. Perfect!

You buying another one?

Andy 12-14-2007 11:22 AM

Not for me,my buddy liked the ride I just picked up and wants to build a fast, snotty water, boat and the 30 Velocity is the perfect start point for his $$$. Pulled one engine so far so good filled with premo parts and the block wasn't cracked Even thoe two frost plugs where out. Keep my fingers crossed for the next one.

DKerns 12-14-2007 12:01 PM

Andy, good luck with both.
