Maybe Notda1 will chime in here!! I hear he "cruised" at 100 in his 30!!!!:D

The older 30s were pretty sedate hulls, it's the newer 32/320s that are the wild ones. :D

I had a 1985 30ft w/750's.Boat would cruise at 95 top out at 110.The boat was tail heavy ,always needed to use the tabs.It seemed safer to not adjust them when going really fast. Would not mess with them to much after around 90.At that point I slowed down to reset them. Above that I trimmed the drives only.Found I that running flat was best for me .Boat in the chesapeake bay mostly.Boat got a lot of air in 3 to 5's running high 90's.Had to stay flat because the back was so much heavier it fell faster. In 1 to 3 's was best for top end .Enough to loosen it up but not upset it. Flat water had to be carefull not to over trim , or felt like I would blow over.Broke a lot of hearts of high dollar boaters .That was fun to. Good luck , have fun but be carefull . Mine almost got me a few times . :cool-smiley-011: Ray

I'm in the same boat, no pun intended, as you. I have a 30 footer also, mine is an 1986. If you have followed the Velocity threads you can see that I am rebuilding mine with twin 700-800hp engines with TRS drives. I will splash mine in a month or so and will also need some advise on how to set this boat up. Do you have any more pix of your ride? When are you going to splash yours? What power do you have. I can't wait to hear your results. I will keep in touch. I'm starting to ramble now, just finished an extra large coffee and am jacked up on caffine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

haha no problem i like talking to people about my boat.....mine has #2's with a pretty high X....the old style big racing trim tabs.....six man stand up interior, no cabin, just finished rebuilding the motors and theyre sitting on the floor in my shop and should be around 450hp each...nothing big like yours..........im hoping for around fathers day for getting it in the water, but you know how that goes........no idea about props yet.......
