Halls Propellers??
Does anybody happen to have a phone number for Mike at Halls? I am looking to have my prop labbed and heard that he was the guy to talk when it comes to a Velocity?
|
Here is a mobile number from a few years ago...
407-402-8148 |
Hall's Propeller Service, 24700 East Highway 50, Christmas, FL, 32709, USA, (tel) 407 568-5506
I have been very happy with Mike's work. |
Thanks for the help guys! I'm going to try to get ahold of him tomorrow.
|
Cost
What does Hal's typically charge to tweak out a prop? I pulled mine for the season and want to get the nicks and dents removed, plus get it tweaked for my velocity. It is a stainless 4 blade hydromotive.
|
I just went from 79MPH@4900 Before the Halls effect to 84.4MPH@5000-5100 with a 30 4 blade Hydro after the Halls effect. Today. Sennding him a 28 next.
|
Mike does good work, congrats on the 84 mph!
|
Thats 84point4!!!. hahahah. He said theres 3 more mph with a 28
|
ROFLMAO :party-smiley-020:
Go for it. |

|
Sent my p5 to Mike 3 weeks ago.. Seems like a stand up guy..On the phone anyway.. talked to him today.. almost done.. will ship back sometime next week.. looking forward to seeing his work..
|
you'll be pleased...
|
Thats the word on the street.. :-)
How did the sale of the engines go? Are you selling your hull as well?? |
Sold engines drives and boxes, rerigging the Velocity with 465 hp carbed merc 502's and bravo one drives. Then she goes on the market.

VV
good luck with the sale.. I followed the progress of your build.. very entertaining to watch.. looked like a fun project.. time is coming to upgrade to a larger boat.. Why the switch so soon after the project completed? tons of work and $$ went into it..the velocity family looses another good one.. :-) |
Well I always wanted a Cat and just happened this one came up so I went for it. Crazy Energy was an experience I won't forget and enjoyed the build and sharing it with you guy's. As long as I'm boating I will be here in the Velocity thread for sure. We lost a boat not a family member. Any way it's only money and a hobby and life is short not to enjoy it.

Just got my P5 hydro back from Halls today.. to be honest, I would not know what I am "looking for" but it does appear that he did tons of work.. I know one thing. the blades feel thinner. and their was some grinding done. seems as if he shaped each blade a bit differently then what I sent.. I am sure he spent some time on this..
I might not know what to look for, but I am sure I will "feel" it.. |
mike does nice work
