I know a friend that had a pair in an express . He went more than 800+ hours and only replaced a fuel pump . He sold them as running take outs and , put in another pair that lasted till he sold the boat . As for me , I killed more engines than I broke !!!

The 28 Bravo1 seems to be the best out of the box,all around prop.

With 500-550 hp at the prop I would go with a 28. I just sent a Hydromotive quad to Halls propeller as I found out he owns a few Velocitys, and he was the guy who tweaked the props for a few of the VR1 race boats. As well as doing the prop that was on my boat when the VR1 took the kilo record. He told me the Hydro 4 blade was the fastest ONLY when labbed properly and the Bravo was the best all around wheel.

Just got 84.4@5000-5100 with a 30 Hydro done by Halls propeller. Before it got 79@4900. Selling a 28 bravo1 a 27 Hydro P5 and a 28 hydro quad4 (small shaft welded hub) if your interested

To early for me for props. I need to decide on HP, ITS & Drive before i look at props.

I think the ITS is over rated for your application. How fast do you want to go??

Please explain why you think the ITS is overrated for my application?

The ITS is not common in the UK due to cost, however my boat was originally fitted with one which means the X height would have been predetermined at the Factory and i am keen not to upset this.

A stock case works great on the VR1 and costs much less. And the ITS sets the prop back further which would change something that all ready works fine.

So I guess a good thing to determine is if it was set up for ITS from the factory no? If it was then the x might be high for a bravo xr, although I guess he could just run a five blade instead of a 4 at that point.
