Veloctiy Decal/Sticker
 

So the boat I recently picked up was missing the "VELOCITY" sticker from the front below the windshield. The "POWERBOATS" part is still there. I called the Manufacture directly and was told $100 to purchase a new "VELOCITY" sticker. Maybe I am being cheap (I should know better when talking boats) but this seems a bit pricy considering the size. Do any of you guys know any Vinyl guys that could cut one for me? Would it be a sin if the font wasn't exact? I had thought of removing it all together, but givin the boat is all white (no graphics) except for the front, I think it needs something there to break up the all white. Do you guys have any pics or know of anyone that has gone with a custom font in place of the stock "VELOCITY POWERBOATS" Sticker?

mine has the old style and it is starting to look bad so i am going to see if someone can remake it before it goes to hell. it is in cursive instead of block letters

i was wanting to replace the same decals on mine as well but 100 doesnt sound so bad, considering you blow that much a day in gas

If you can get me a picture of the decal I can make it for you and it wont cost you $100.

Low_psi - Do you have any photos of the lettering non curved? Once I reproduce the lettering we can put any curve you want into it.

I might be interested in the front decal also, how exact do you think you can make it? I am afraid that there might be some discoloring in the gell coat under the old decall and it might show if not cmopletely covered by the new one. How about one of those american flag decals that look like they are blowing in the wind just under the tip of the bow on either side, i think they look pretty cool

It would be very hard to make the decal exact without access to the boat especially with the curved lettering. My suggestion would be to take it to a local sign shop. That way the can take some exact dimensions of the letters and the spacing and produce you an exact replica. The American flags on the other we can do for ya! I will dig up some samples for you!

I bought one in 06 from the factory and it was only about $30. I thought that was dirt cheap. Maybe they made an error.

Today I called and talked with Kenny @ Velocity and he told me it would be around $50. I told him I was on the fence as to going with the factory font or having a custom logo made. So I told him I'd call back if I decided to order. I called back later this afternoon, not sure who I talked to, but I was told $100 for the sticker........ So I called Kenny back and left him a voice mail letting him know I wanted to order the factory sticker @ $50. I am waiting for a call back from him.

i just had my lettering and colors changed on a 98-32'. Custom logo and paint work on transom I could send you pictures on my phone if you want, he does full custom paint all the way to gelcoat touch-up, including vinyl and many different fonts. Good pricing too.he aiso has pictures he can send you call mark after dark 9547098352 hes a busy guy if he doesnt anwser leave him a message he always called me back my boat looks better than a 2010

Kenny called me back this morning and ordered up the Velocity sticker for the front in black for $50. I decided to stay with the factory logos for now.

i wish i had a better shot , my boat is b100 miles from me in winter storage so i can't get a pic. but if yours has the block type letters you need to go back with it the same size or you will see where it used to be in the gellcoat.
