Velocity 280 but if I had my wish it would be a 390 Poker Run.

mmo jo 05-01-2002 08:14 PM

We have a 390 poker run.The one that was in hot boat.My first was a 260 then a 320 now a 390.I love it!!!!!We do every poker run we can and I have yet to find a hp 500 powerd boat ,of the same size and weight (give or take a few feet) that can run like a 390 velocity..

I have a 2000 280 with a Whipplecharged 502 Mag and boat in the Thousand Islands.

mmo jo: I road in a 390 Poker Run in the Thousand Islands poker Run in August of 2000. It had 500 HP carb engines and was a great ride. Literally three people came by to look for the superchargers ...

1998 320 with 500's. Looking forward to seeing fellow owners at the Velocity Nat'l Poker Run this summer!

How do you like the 32 with 500s?

Revelocity 05-08-2002 01:18 AM

What I like best is the boat's ability to run moderate tab and trim and stay in good control in the typical, snotty bay water up to about to 85.

mr_velocity 05-08-2002 03:26 PM

I'm out of Monmouth Beach. I don't hit the bay too often since the boat is great out in the atlantic. Although once in a while we'll run down to the Barnaget Inlet then up to Waters Edge and home via the canal. With the race schedule last year I didn't even uncover the boat. This year I'll be out running again.

Any interest in a Velocity get together in the bay or DE river?

Didn't realize there were so many Velocitys around here, used to always use my 22 in Barnegat and only ever saw one other one "Scoundrel" I am hoping to pick up a 26 Thoroughbred in FLA as soon as they owner finds the title. ANy one interested in having a VELOCIFEST let me know and we can all talk and get some plans put together!

If money was no object 410with twin superchagerd 500's.:D I like the 32 though I think that will be my next move up, just about the right size for me.:)

Revelocity 05-09-2002 12:15 AM

TonyM,

We had 4 Velocities registered for the NJPPC Philly Poker Run last year. I'm sure we'll have at least 4 this year as well. On the Barnegat Bay there are about 4 that I see regularly.

There's been nothing official yet from Ken Temple and All Pro Marine concerning this year's Nat'l Poker Run. It's slotted for the last weekend in July. If for some reason that doesn't materialize, I'll take the lead in putting something together for the mid-Atlantic area. Hopefully we'll hear something soon!

I'm kinda partial to the older one's! Mainly just 'cause I can afford them!:) I have had a 1990 23ft, then a 1987 30ft and now a 1985 22ft that is a bare hull only!

If money was no object I go with a 39 or 41 with about 500's and outrun the blower boat's like a couple of you guy's are doing now! That's real cool!!

People couldn't believe I had a stock 454mag in my 23ft!! One thing about a Velocity, they definatly tought me how to drive!!

:D
