I'm not so sure about that. The original 30 had an 8' beam. At least that's what a very old Velocity brochure says The 322 is 8'6".

Actually it's the same hull bottom but with higher sides to deliver the deeper freeboard and beam. Check out the angled transom corners on both boats!
