I haven't ever looked at fuel pressure, but I may take a look there next. But to be running in fresh water with the amount of gear I am, with the stock prop, and hitting a solid 69 on GPS, I'd say it is running pretty good.

I can tell you this. THe soot is much different now, after the stage II tune. Before it was realy thick and greasy, and a real pain to clean. Now it is much thinner and not as greasy and comes off with soap and water. However, becasue it is lighter/thinner than before it seems to get all over the place. It is now wider spread. Before it wouldn't get all over the swim ladder. Now I have to get out and clean the ladder before any one uses the ladder to avoid the soot being tracked all over the boat.
I will be putting a gauge on the fuel rail next week. Anyone know what idle psi and wot psi should be? It does sound like if there is a fuel psi issue it is at higher RPM. |
On my 500 EFI that was warmed up 550 on the dyno...it was 39 at idle and 42 wide open...I bought a guage when I put a ASM monoblade on it...then an adjustable regulator and bumped it up three PSI both ways...ran like a scalded dog...but definitely sooted the transom...put it back to stock after the JAX poker run
