Thanks! Actually had a 30' previously, and since then been driving an Allison, so I shouldn't have any problem driving it. :drink: :evilb: I'm a pad-v driver deep down. :drink:

Mike, I will get plenty of pics once I get it down here. ;) The pics that I have on my photobucket account are exactly how it looks. I can't believe how clean the gel/paint are on the boat. Hey, if you know anyone that wants Ernie's old 24, send 'em my way. :drink:

Congrats Jeff!!!!
Glad the weather held out for you.

Nice boat and very clean. Info about it. Year, motors look like 454 HO mags 1998 thru 2000, Interior was it redone if so whoever did it really did a pro job. Nice looking old school boat. Hows the ride with the big blocks? Just wonder if it is a little stern heavy from the weight of them. Congrats.

Thanks! Boat is a 90, and the motors are 2002 502 EFI's. Believe it or not interior is original as is the paint/gelcoat. It shines like a new boat. The ride is great. Not tail heavy at all. :)

bobo1 09-25-2011 07:25 PM

Love the original classy looks colors! Great find Ziemer!

Powerquest230 09-25-2011 07:32 PM

Congratulations on the sweet ride, best of luck with it!

BUP 09-25-2011 10:19 PM

Thanks for the info as U scored with that boat in that shape for a 1990. Have to ask 502 /8.2 EFI's in 2002? The 496 HO mag took took the place of them if I remember correctly.

502 HO mag was 415 hp and the 496 HO mag was 425 hp. 2001 the 496 was introduced. Think the black 502 EFI ended in 2000 or 2001.

Your motor serial # can be ran to see 4 sure about the year. I could look this up as well being a dealer. Just asking I'm trying to recall if thats correct. Again congrats on ur new ride and I'm not trying to rag on anything here.

ziemer 09-26-2011 10:09 AM

I think they are either 01 or 02. I have the original warranty cards that expired in May of 03. He also got the 4-year extended that expired in 2007. What is the normal factory warranty? 1 year or 2?

Thanks! :drink:

BUP 09-26-2011 10:35 PM

I 'll run these tomorrow but serial # 0L is more like around 1998 / 1999 year model. Also 4 sure 2002 year model for the 502 black motors NON Merc Racing was gone as the 496 took its place.

The 502 Black Motors ended its production with serial 0M024999 and that was end of 2000 or mid 2001 at the latest.

This time next week it should be on I-95 heading southbound!!! I'm having it dropped right at the source (Velocity factory) and can't wait to get it here in sunny FL...

Underdog88 10-05-2011 07:05 PM

Drove right by the plant on 10/30 but driving 18 hrs straight already, I wasn't stopping till Sebring. We're here the rest of the year. We just ran from the peace river thru Charlotte Harbor into the Gulf yesterday:)

Sounds like we both know Gary and I wanna run w/that Sonic while we're here.
Looking forward to seeing our twin if you wanna meet sometime this fall/winter. Try and get with Still Crazy at the same time? That'd be a fun run together:)

My parents are in Punta Gorda, so we've made the trip thru Charlotte Harbor many times. We might be down that way in the beginning of November.

Next weekend, we'll be over in Sebastain and as long as everything goes as planned, we'll be in the new boat.

Also, the Still Crazy guys will be in Sarasota for the poker run next weekend. I was talking to Kenny the other day about it. He was trying to get us to come over, but we already had commitments for next weekend.

Boat will be at the factory Monday morning. Can't wait! :drink:

Ziemer,

How does the Tohoe pull that thing. Did you have to do anyhting with the rear suspension?

Actually, that is who brought it down to me. He said it did great. He averaged around 65 mph on the way down at 10-11 mpg. No mods to the suspension.

I will be towing it with my Denali (see below) The short distance I towed it this morning, wasn't too bad. Mine has the air ride, so it rode pretty level. You definitely know it's back there though. I came down I-4 about 65, and no swaying. The trailer under it, is balanced perfectly and rides great.
