New owner, first boat.
 

I've had boat fever for a couple of years now. It took a lot of patience waiting for the right time, place and boat to finally pull the trigger on a purchase. This is my first boat, and the only powerboat I've even been on! A lot of friends own bow riders, or cruisers, I just have a need for speed. I'm a bit of a gear head and couldnt get away from the go-fast! Sold my fast asphalt toys that only I really got an opportunity to enjoy, hoping to let some others in on the fun with the boat now.

The boat is an 03' 260, only 150 hours on the ticker, stone stock, 496mag. I've taken off the painted on flames so far, getting new vinyl cut for the "velocity powerboats" under the windshield, new head unit, new speakers + a second set at the sides of the bench, added a second battery and taken care of some general maintenance on the boat. It's been out twice in the big lake so far, had it up to 67 on GPS with two buddies on board and pretty heavy on fuel. Plenty fast to scare the crap out of myself! I'm dropping the boat back in the water today for the next 4 days during the Chicago air and water show. Really looking forward to it!
