What is "MERCRUISER 496 MAG H.O. WITH VELOCITY-RAM AIR INDUCTION" ???

I thought ram air induction was something from 1960-70's muscle cars.

While you can't see in the ebay picture because of the cockpit cover, Velocity uses either NACA ducts or intake ports above the rubrail which channels air through the inside of the engine hatch or a tube arrangement to the top of the motor. Delivers cooler air to the engine. You can see the port on the picture of the 29 SC in the OSO classified.
