Windshield Foam

Anyone know what velocity used as "foam" behind the windshield where it mounts to the boat? I want to say Kenny told me years ago they used some sort of foam from home depot?

thanks for any answers

John

I used this, but found it in a longer roll.

Thanks Relaxing. Did you do just one strip all around or double it up? I don't suppose you took any pictures? :-)..

John
I did 1 strip all the way around, and no pictures sorry.

I used 1 layer of 2" wide black neoprene pipe insulation that I got at a plumbing supply. Two layers is too thick and DON'T over tighten the screws especially where there is a gap between the lexan and the deck.

1/4" to 5/8"

Forgot to reply and say thank you guy for the info.. I was able to get some from Wholesale marine. Looks like it will work great..

Re-doing the painted graphics on my 2001 Yellow and Purple 260. (Not chaging the paint patterns, just redoing the same graphics). figured I would fix the windshield foam in the process. Also, switching the 540 carb to a Holley HP EFI setup. Almost ready for the DYNO. Should be "almost" like new when done.

So I went with a 5/8thick foam. Anyone else use something that thick? Seems as if there is a decent gap between the glass and the boat. I would think the foam would compress a bit over time though and need to be tightened down. Thoughts?
