22 velocity

I have a (new to me) 22 velocity with a 454/bravo.. anyway, it has a galvanized loadrite roller trailer under it that i want to convert to a bunk. does anyone have any good pictures of how to set it up? i've searched the internet and cant find good pictures of a properly set up trailer for this boat.

When I set my trailer up for my 30', the 2 main supports were just outside the outer most chines and then I added 2 lower supports that are to either side of the pad. This keeps the boat centered when loading and keeping the main supports out a little further helps keep the boat lower in the trailer which for me makes towing a little easier. Ideally, you want the supports to run from the edge of pad up until the hull starts to naturally curve up to the bow stop. Mine also has a v-shaped support at the very front of the bottom of the boat while it's still horizontal.

Thanks, that was basically what i was going to do. i am going to go with carpeted cypress for the main bunks and a v shaped support further up to keep it centered.. much easier in theory than practice. :drink:

Yep. When I did mine, I got the main bunks where they need to and left the lowers loose. Got the boat where I wanted it and then adjusted the secondary bunks up to where they needed to be with a floor jack. Worked well. Good luck!
