If my memory is correct, on my 280 the cockpit snaps are in about the same area. Unfortunately my boost is covered now, but I should have some pictures. I'll try to find them.
I have the higher wind shield fwiw. http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w...j.jpg~original |
Never liked the appearance of the bubbles. A drastic solution is getting rid of them but then you are looking at a complete dash redo.

I don't blame you. Besides I do think you get better visibility od the instruments with your style.

I remember them offering a 6" and 12" but I think the 12" was only available as the white framed ones like the ones found on a formula and by the pictures you posted your snaps are where the windshield mounts

You stated that you have "THE HIGHER WINDSHIELD", can you explain ? I didn't know there where optional height's available ? The fit of the bubbles is also terrible as you can see below, another reason to add a windshield to hide this. Boat is not perfect but this sort of stuff bothers me as there's really no reason for it to be this way:
http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w...j.jpg~original I have the "higher" aluminum framed windshield. It is about 12" high. I think the lower unframed wind shield looks better but I like the wind protection of the higher screen. My bimini also attaches to the frame. I would hate to lose that. This is not my boat but will show you the windshield. http://www.boattrader.com/listing/20...iser-102619164 |
Ok, I got'cha.....you have the OEM (original) windshield. I thought you were talking about 2 height versions of the low profile windshield.....all clear now. I don't run fast enough to worry about wind deflection problems.......;)....:D

The framed one mounts on top at the flat part of the cockpit while the acrylic one mounts on the curved part in front were your snaps are and also hang down about 2" on the sides and screwed on with rubber grommets and a foam strip between them
