290sc height on trailer
Will a 290sc, with the tall framed windshield, fit in an 8' tall garage door ?
THANKS ! Doug |
I just measured mine... 7' 7" to top of windshield.

Now I just may have to move the winch stand a bit further forward.. Looks like the boat on the trailer is going to be 8" longer than my garage.. Doug |
It all depends on the trailer.
Aluminum bunk trailers sit higher than steel & aluminum cradle trailers. Trailer suspension type makes a difference. Wheel and tire size makes a difference. Hitch height makes a difference. |

But I've noticed ALL of the 290sc's listed for sale are on nearly identical Ameratrail trailers so figured it was safe to assume the majority would be the same height :) http://georgebidleman.com/wp-content...3/DSC_0001.jpg |
I'm on that same trailer (aluminum bunk and make) and just had the outer bunks moved in due to loading issues. It brought the boat up almost 2". I was 1/4" on the fenders prior like in the pic above. My assessment is that I am sitting higher than in the pic above.

I'm on a tall tire as well. Hope this helps!

It CERTAINLY did !
Happens to be a dip in the driveway in just the perfect spot for the back tires of my truck.. Fits under my 8' door NO problem...... :) http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p...psykhvwecm.jpg |
Nice!!! Hail to the dip!
