LH Prop
Has anyone had any experience spinning a LH. prop on a single engine boat. (290SC) Any info is appreciated.

My Cig 20 is setup this way. Although, I'm left side helm as well. Typically, with a RH helm a RH prop will counteract the weight of the driver. You may see slightly more list to the right.

Not a Velocity, but a I have a older fast IMO Vee. I bought a pair of bravo's and ran the LH 28 First. I have never even tried the RH after the boat runs so flat and fly's level with the LH. Most of the single Fountains run a LH as well.
Good luck! |

LJ 290SC 22* deadrise, conventional lifting strakes with a 3" high notched transom. 1' wide pad. Pad is offset 6.5" to port of keel and 5.5" to starboard to offset the right hand turning prop. |
I tried a LH prop on my 290SC to see if it would correct the listing issue I have..
Normal prop is a RH Hydromotive 25 pitch 5 blade... I tried a 26 pitch Bravo I LH... Aside from the anticipated increase in slip going to a 4 blade, the handling did NOT change nor did it fix my list... I was a bit surprised it didn't make any difference on the Velocity A LH or RH prop makes a HUGE difference on my Corsa |
