Finally got to work on the boat some..

One of my projects was to change out the Airmar depthfinder transducer to one compatible with my new Garmin...

I don't know WHO installed it.. Sure hope it WASN'T Velocity..

The mount was NOT installed.. They just epoxied the transducer in to the hull. Wasn't even at the right angle.
The epoxy was brittle and cracking. When I got the transducer out, I found some moisture under it..
THANKFULLY, it didn't get in to the Balsa Core...

Got the hole cleaned up and cut bigger so the mount fits properly...

Glued the mount in with 4200

Then closed it all up with Pettit Flexpoxy..

I really like the fuel pump mounting under the floor panel. Do you plan to upgrade to an offshore engine mount?

Not at this time... The current mounts are pretty beefy and mounted with (4) 1/2" bolts.. and I don't run the ocean (or LOTO that I've heard is worse.. LOL)

If needed I'll line the fuel pump compartment with sound deadening as well..(the Aeromotive Eliminator pump is LOUD !
Haven't decided on a door or just a screw on panel yet. I'll only access it once a year or so to clean the primary filter so we'll see once I get the engine set in again..

I know a lot of manufacturers do it, but is there any way to make a big loop in there with an hose to eliminate those 2 90's? Iirc your motor is pretty stout. Hate to choke that fuel pump down to the output of an a1000.
What you have may very well work just fine, just a thought or something to look at if fuel pressure drops off

Btw nice clean work and I like the use of that space, thinking inside the box lol

Yeah.. I DON'T like using 90's, But they are pretty gentle of a turn AND are -12 so should still flow plenty.. (I hope  )

Nice, I thought they were 10's keep up the good work!
