Default 2 props set up for a VR1. Or?

These props where done buy Hulls for my VR1.500 hp But would be fine on any velocity. 28 bravo right race labed. And s 29 hydro left race labed. These props where done to my specs for a velocity . These props where done for more stern lift . Velocity's have no problem with bow lift. $500 each plus the ride.

Tom, What speeds were you seeing at 500hp with your VR1? My new setup will be 525-560hp. I'm thinking low to mid 80's when dialed in. Currently running 72-75gps with 496HO and Bblades labbed Bravo's 28 and 30p. It's a little overpropped with the 30p but cruise is much better vs 28p. Just as fast up top but takes longer to get there. I've never tried a QIV on the VR yet. Which did you prefer? Thanks for any info.

My boat was a gutted race boat with the innovations 502 that was a class set up race eng. Made 425 hp at 4900 . I had the comp reflashed but never dyno run. Spun it to 5600 and the boat ran 84 with me and Mike from Hulls at the toys for tots run. No keep in mind this boat was a potato chip with every trick in the book done to it.

hey tom, couple questions in regard to your vr1. Was it a handful to run at 80-85mph? Do you run a lot of trim or relatively neutral? Still trying to get used to this padded bottom ride and handle. My vr1 is a handful in the area of 80-100mph. Just a lot to wheel in calm or small chop.

Mine was gutted up front sat way back on the pad. I always run a lot of trim. All I drove ran fine over 80 mph. You have to drive them a bit more than a reg v bottom. What do you have for a prop?

I think Padraig owns that boat now; it's a beautiful VR1, and the cabin was completed at Velocity.
