I just went through the same mental dilemma. Seems that the coin option is limited by colors and size now. My boat goes in for interior soon and will be doing a drop in carpet to cover the coin.

Look at dekadence. I put that in my velocity and cleans easily and you can take out anytime if you want without affecting the floor under it. I really like it.

My VR 1 came with a fitted carpet. Lays flat, no snaps does not move and feels good on bare feet. ☺ You might check with Kenny to see if the supplier has a template and if he can get them.

He going to template mine but not sure if the 280 and 290sc have a similar layout. I will say the carpet sample he showed me is plush.

If yours is a stock 280 I would think there will be a template. The carpet is very plush.

I must be in the minority. I really like the Pirelli flooring in mine. Easy care and clean. Previous boats had carpet. A member here redid a 390 and had some nice flooring done with a 390 logo. Looked great. Search it for an idea. I'm always going to recommend Kenny H too.

I had Deckadence in two boats. Great stuff! Always looks good and hides any lint or dirt unlike carpet. It also has a foam cushion backing and is comfortable to stand on for long periods. All of my photobucket pics got blasted by those pricks, so I'll repost...

When I manage to wear my carpet out I will have someone use it for a template and have a new carpet made of Deckadance

I would do the snap in series of Marine Mat - You do not have to worry about gluing it down.

You can do any color they offer plus different smoothness and textures
