So you drilled that area for wood content inspection ? Not that easy to get a drill in that area

I got a drill hole on the starboard side under the lowest transom plate bolt in the area of where the transom plate normally sits, and yes it was a major pain to drill. Luckily my air drill is small and I have stubby drill bits. With a flexzilla hose extension I was able to get in there and catch the wood on a piece of paper I laid below. I went 1" into the transom. It was dry. I am pulling the engine tonight and will be able to do a more through investigation.
