My side by side 390 2003 with 625 Ilmors is running XR drives with ITS -2" lowers prop shaft is level with the bottom of the boat. Sounds like your 41 may have been set up with a lower x dimension if you are still 3" below the bottom with a -2' lower. The 29 5 blades I was running where cleaver style, Ilmors do not have the torque like the V8 motors but turn more RPMs so I run smaller props. I do have a pair of 32 5 blade maximus props for sale if it is something you think would work.
