Wow, that looks great. I wish I would have done the compartment over and taken out the carpet when I redid the motors. They went from this.

Prior to the windshield mod the boat looked like this. I definitely like the new look much better.

Mr Velocity
Show us a pic of the boat from the out side now so we can compare. Motors look great. |

Here's how I did mine. I used 1/4" Aluminum diamond plating. When I was looking around I could have gotten 1/16 Stainless Steel Diamond plating that was a little more expensive. I wish I would have done it now because the Aluminum takes some hand rubbing to keep it looking good. I used cardboard to make the template to cut the aluminum. Your engine looked great!

Windshields
WIndshields never really looked good on those boats, I had a 22 and have my 26 now and whenever I see them with windshields, it just takes away from the looks. Besides it's cool to wear goggles when you go fast!!:D

I didn't like the look of the windshield. Took it off for a while before doing the mod. I just can't run without one. On a typical Sat we'll spend 5 - 8 hours of run time. It's just too much wind to spend a day like that. Too much wind burn too. I'm still looking for a pic of the boat with the new setup, doesn't hurt the look at all.

Not a a great shot but all I could find, until I get the scanner running again. Anyway, you can barely tell it's there and it does keep most of the wind out of your face. Works better then the short windscreen that is offered. When I first cut the windshield I mailed photos to Steve.
