Another one on EBay- 1980 30' with twin 454/TRS and trailer, yr old paint and interior. Does anyone know anything about these hulls- how they should run with what power, what kind of problems to look for considering age. I would already expect the motors and drives to grenade within a week, more worried about problems with stringers or?

One more question, what are these worth since I can't figure out what name they were manufactured under way back when... looked under Velocity, Thoroughbred, Steve Stepp..?

In the picture it looks like it says "Regal" about halfway up the side.

Where did you notice that, above the blue graphics?? I thought Stepp didn't sell the molds until 88 or 89. Also thought they would finish a boat a little prettier.

Towards the back of the windshield right before the "V" graphic starts. If you look at the pics in the link it is shown more clearly.

I know that Regal owned them at one time does that mean stay away?

It says Regal clear as day on the trailer too.....

not sure if that means anything, but the trailer does look original.

Are we looking at first, second or third boat listed in this post cause I don't see any of the Regal markings almost ready to check myself into the looney bin. 1980 white hull/blue graphics with 1989 trailer? Final bid ended up at 13200.00 this one is a complete boat with yr old paint and interior, running 454s with TRS drives....I can still buy boat since I'm the local buyer think its worth a shot? Models made by Regal are there problems with those?

If is a Regal Velocity keep an eye out for bilsters....I had a 1990 23ft Regal Velocity that had blisters.....Then a 1987 30ft Regal Velocity (which was around the time they "regal and Stepp" got together, from what I have heard) and it was straight as a string, and strong......I still have a 1985 22ft Velocity and it doesn't have bilsters and seems strong (But, it's just sitting there wait for some TLC)

Great boat's for a reasonable price!! Very fast compared to other boat's with the same HP. Be careful at first....a Velocity is a "drivers" boat!! Once you learn how to handle it you will LOVE it!!
