We have the same settup in our 05 290 sc.Went from a 97 280 to the 290 and my kids and wife loveit as much as I do.The best single engine 29 out there in my opinion.Kenny and Steve were great also at the factory.We are very happy with our purchase.

Another 3 months,andwe'll be off and runnin again!!!!!!!!!!

Hay Kenny, hope the Miami Boat show was good to you guy's. Wanted to go so bad but just couldn't make it this year, maybe next year. Is there another article coming out in Power Boat Mag. maybe in Feb. about the 290 SC with a 525 in it?

I want to see it in person. From what I've read and the pictures I've seen I want to get one. Got sick and didn't make it to Chicago show and missed the Detroit one. Modern Marine in Schoolcraft Mi. had one but after the Detroit show it was going back to Florida. Not sure when I'll get to check one out in person. Heading to St. Petes in the end of April maybe I could check out the plant if it isn't to far.

I just sat in the 290SC at Modern Marine this afternoon. Great boat. This is where I bought my VR1. I think they'll have the boat in the showroom for another week if you want to make the trip to Michigan.

Hay Thurl you haven't been able to get into a 290 SC yet. I still have mine and loveing it more every day. Best of luck in finding one you can demo. Maybe I will be able to run down to lake Norman and meet you guys there when the weather breaks. Until then stay warm. John

Hey John nope not yet. Was sick for the Chicago show and didn't make the Detroit one. Modern Marine has one still at the showroom. Might try and go there Saturday if I can.

I see no luck selling yours. I see it advertised on some site. Are you going to wait until next year to move up or keep what you have?
