94 Velocity 22 Center Console Questions

I found a nice deal on a 94 22ft Velocity Center Console. I'm going to look at it today. Can anyone tell me their experiences with this boat, or opinions.

I think I owned the first 22 Center Console ever built. It was built in Pompano in '85 or '86. Great little boat. Started with a 200 Merc. ran a little over 60. Went to a 300 Johnson, over 70mph. Used to out run all the Scarab Sports back then. Used the boat in Ft. Lauderdale area and keys. Even raced it in "Local Class" and won. Only problem I ever had was with the deck, not sure if my deck was laminated well on the back side, developed a couple of soft spots. Other than that you wont find a faster 22 CC around, loved mine. Now have a 260.

Thanks for the info. I decided not to purchase the boat. It had a big soft spot on the deck, and the bulkheads were coming delaminated. It looked like the wood in the stringers, bulkheads and transom weren't properly fiberglassed in and it was all rotting.
