No idea on motors, but the 2 new 1 yr factory warrantied Bravo transom assemblies I bought this spring, I have a gut feeling, there is no warranty. Wouldnt prevent me from buying transom assemblies again from Mike though. Whats to go wrong with them? He was very pleasant and would return calls right away and price was right. Big ticket items like motors...I might have to think about that one. If you pay with CC, the fee cuts into the saving a good chunk.

I dont know for sure, thus just a 'gut' feeling. They may very well be covered and I'm overthinking the little oddities. Yes they are brand new legit Merc products.

anything with Merc and Merc racing and Merc repower / reman for engines and drives and transom assemblies will have a serial number on it. If not it has NO WARRANTY PERIOD. And do you know that there is 3 year corrosion warranty that stays for 3 straight years from the retail purchase date. And you say what can go wrong with transom assemblies ? Corrosion issues within 3 years and guess what my customers got their warranty coverage with new assemblies. How --- Because they had serial numbers on their transom assembly and recorded. Also a few cracked gimbal rings was covered within the standard 1 year warranty against any defects. All of that was covered thru Merc. Plus there is more issues that was covered as well. Hinge pin issues and so forth - not alot but the owners sure were glad they had a warranty.

Call merc / Merc racing and ask if you can provide a legit serial number to them about any warranty coverage.

I would not buy a new engine without a warranty that is stated online and in writing thru the company selling it plus without a real legit business address nor a filed LIC with the state they are selling from. So check the address and state filed business LIC of whomever you are buying from. It might surprise you of the location and no real biz LIC ... .

Location??? I have been in his place. They have half of a warehouse for the parts sales and build boats in the other half, some big CC's, can't remember the brand.
