A friend of mine shelled a 2.3 ltr whipple and we are looking for a replacement only need the blower the rest is ok this is on a 500 HP with a carb. thanks for all your help

Check Ebay motors. There was onr there last week.

Bump someone has to have something laying around.

Have you tried calling Dustin at Whipple ??? Last time I checked they had a few rebuilt units in stock, or they can rebuild yours.

Id like to know also.

The motor locked up while running, then after looking at things I took off the belt and you could easily tell the problum was in the blower. I pulled the carb and it looked bad, rotors all scored up. Apon dissassembly it looked like the rear bearings went bad. since they are sealed bearings, then the rotors started rubbing and the front bearings and seal became loose and sucked the oil out of the front housing then locked up. We came to this conclusion because the gears in the front looked ok and not run dry. Its just a guess.

I spoke with PSE superchargers regarding a different issue for another guy and they said they have the Lyslohm blowers for sale there. May be something to check into. I mentioned it to Jim, but not sure he checked into it or not.

Will the Whipple parts/bolt of stuff interchange with the Lyslohm case?

I recioved a response from whipple it seems they have a new style replacement called 140r they said it is a little bigger but it fits the applacation just need to spin it a little slower this may be the way to go

any one running one of these 140R
