so the measurements are 8" 5/8 carbs are 5" 1/8

8 5/8 sounds like carbs are turned side ways and not inline. This is an example of the in line setup.

Thanks for the pictures. Now i understand. Mine would be the side mount not the in-line. Thought my set up was the only way to do it.

So the answer is i have side mounted carbs

Any body have some side mount arressters

ive got flame arrestors and the plates to make them inline just like in the pics if interested.

But I determined I had side mounts not in line how would that work?
