Complete Small block EFI or carb
 

I have a client.....bad story to follow...

She bought a consignment boat.....2nd trip out had to be towed home. A "guy" at the marina where she bought it did "side work"....told her that the motor was bad...leaky manifolds...

2-years later, she finds me. Boat is on a trailer next to her house....coverd with leaves, algae and filth.

"Marina guy" got fired for doing side work. At that time, he had removed her motor and was using the old one for a core....allegedly.

At this time, she has the Y-pipe, inner transom assy, throttle bracket and an Alpha 1....oh....and the two motor mount pins....

Worst part, he duped her for the cash up front AND dissapeared with the motor....manifolds, risers, circ. pump, alt. fuel pump......EVRYTHING...

So, she would like for me to put a new engine in. I'm overly competent, but not sure she should invest a penny in this 1992 Bayliner 30 single screw bucket. Worse yet, she wants a 1yr warranty....but I think it will cost a fortune for her.

I thought momentarily about a BBC/M (496 take out)....but the Alpha couldn't hang for too long...I'm sure

So...anyone able to point me to a reasonably priced SB that is turn key?

I have a new in the crate 383MPI plug and play, including bellhousing and y pipe. Been sitting for a few years so it will need fuel filters and the injectors cleaned. $6,000.00 plus shipping.

I've got a pair of 454's out of a Black Thunder they have 120 hours on them $3,500 per motor. They are complete drop in - only need a fuel seperator bracket/filter.

North of the border will kill me on tax....but not a bad price....close to cost (about 600 over)
