i have a 2006 496 ho 425hp. with 162 hours on it. with cmi sporttubes on it, extra 58 hp. in my 27 daytona. i have a 525 efi im in the process of rebuilding and going to be putting in boat this winter "hopefully". i maybe selling the 496 with or without cmi's. with headers $11000.00 without headers $8000.00 just dont know if you can wait that long.

Are you swapping out a 496? I believe the exhaust holes are slightly different on the 496 vs say a 502 so you will likely want to stay with whatever style was in there.

are you talking about the transom holes? when eliminator rigged the boat they ran the exhaust tailpipes like an s to exit below the swim platforms and farther to the outside. i do think that the 496 exhaust is about an inch wider from what ive been told. im hoping when i do the swop ill be able to use the tailpipes that are in it now and the tailpipes will hopefully match up to the 525 headers. i havent got that fair yet. thanks for the info.

Not sure, haven't had a scanner on it( haven't had any problems). I could get it done if needed. I bought it with 260 hrs and put 100 on it since February. I usually run around 4000 cruising and bout 4900 wot. Love the engine, has a great lope at idle, just going to bigger CID for the altitude I boat at. If you need any info, let me know.
