Sorry I used the words, "Old Turd". This/my ride was way ahead of its time, tons of fun, looks cool and destroys my buddies $300k boats. Rock on Steve Stepp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you wanna rock that lake, quit phukin around and buy my cat!!!
|
Just buy a complete drive and sell the uppers for whatever you can get... If you find just lowers there probably gonna cost you just as much as a complete drive. I mean heck if you want just a lower I'll split my drive and sell you the lower for $1900 plus the ride.

#2speedies

he is in canada, and has customer w/ #2's and props for sale cheap. i think one drive has issues but for the price, 4 props, spare parts and cases if your serious. i wanna say 3k for all, if you dig deep, there in the swap shop |
Velocity
Put the #2s on it, you'll have to hammer it hard to get out of the hole but man does it grab once its up. She has seen 110mph. (W/HP on the dyno sheets) What a hand full !!
|
ya hammer #2's hard outta the hole and watch them sh*t themselves all over the lake!! and not to mention that's the worst thing one can do to a 72c transmission!!! bury the tabs, walk it slowly up and gradually increase trim bit by bit, the boat will plane very easily and not empty your wallet!!! remember cowboys are always broke that's why they ride horses my friend!!!
|
hammer on it
Have you driven it with 2s? You can do whatever you want to, she likes to be hammered out of the hole. It just picks up and goes. Obviously its not a dragster so you have to get rolling a bit first. Never busted one. The guy it went to did though. Big props, WOT, big air, and #2 drives dont mix.
|
I had #2's on my Executioner for many years, and when I went to "big power" I had "big expense" as I also used to "hammer on it" to get it on plane... then I had some professional driving lessons from a retired racer... I no longer had to "hammer on it" to plane the boat, never the less, I went to my IIIA's after that... so yes I've had experience with #2's, not with "that boat" but similar... if ya "hammer it" you will eventually "hammer your wallet"...

Hammer
Ha, yes you are right. For some reason (maybe the pad) on the Velocity, if you babied it out, the props would grab and shake the whole boat, then free up a bit. If you got rolling a bit then "hammer it" (about 1/2 throttle) the boat would lay out flat and the props loosened up and gradually grab in and go.
The cool part is the boat is back here swimming on the same big pond! |
