Looking for a jet boat.
 

The lake I spend 98% of my summer is a small lake and it would be cheaper/more practical to sell my fountain and buy a jet boat with a bbc. Looking to spend $15k or less, 19'+, 1990 model or newer. Hoping to find an updated color scheme. 1-2 colors. I haven't had much luck finding nice ones on boat trader and eBay. What's the better brands and best places to look?? Thanks for any and all help.

try www.searchtempest.com to do a craigslist search. there are several around alabama to the carolinas, not so sure up your way. I just bought one over the weekend. older boat with no motor and needing work but with all the hardware for a BBC. I only gave $400 for it and it has a nice trailer and some nice parts with it. they are out there although it seems most are out west. I plan on just replacing the stringers and floor and throwing in a beater motor for the summer and have some fun.

Are you looking for an open bow or closed bow?

yea that is a pain. on searchtempest you can put in jet boat and check phrase and it will look for those words in that order so at least it takes out most of the jet skies, etc.

Use search tempest, and you can command it to exclude things from your search results. Put a - infront of the word you dont want included. for example if I didnt want jet skis included in my results, I would put the following in the search blank ..... jet boat chevy -ski ..... Check out performanceboats.com also, they have a ton of jet boats on there. Good luck.

I've been looking at a lot of Carreras. I almost bought one last year around this time... wish I did. They really nice Elminators are pricey!
