Anyone have a propshaft for a 87 alpha drive behind a 454?

An old customer of mine called today getting his boat towed in, said he backed off a sandbar & was cruising about 30mph & heard a clunk then the rpm shot up. After getting the boat on the trailer we found the propshaft snapped off just inside the outer seals. No marks on the drive like hit something probably twisted in the sand & cut loose under load later. Anyway This is a nice gentleman who is looking to sell his boat & I would like to help him out if I can. Thanks in advance, Randy PS 1987 Formula 242 454,alpha

Fixx, I don't know if there is any difference in the propshafts on the alphas. I just stated what the boat has in it so the info is there. It's easier to fix something right the first time if all info is available. How much would you need to part this propshaft? Randy I looked up a part # 44 824110 seems to be for the mr

by the time he buys a prop shaft buys a seal kit and to have it installed he might be better off buying a sei lower and at least geting a wattenty with it...
