WindAway wind deflectors

I am looking for some Windaway deflectors or something similar. Just don't want to have drill into the winshield.

I have a set I used a few times but then sold the boat. I wrapped them in towels in the garage........somewhere. Check with me in a few days or I'll contact you if I find them.

Sounds good. I appreciate it

Brad.M 10-12-2013 03:30 PM

Still looking for these if anyone has them

Pillow cases make good stowage cases. :)

Do they make them anymore? I think this is something that would be really beneficial. My PQ with a windscreen really needs these. If some could send me pictures i could replicate.

thirdchildhood 10-13-2013 10:06 AM

Their web site seems to be down. I have contact info at home I could try tomorrow.

Brad.M 10-13-2013 07:19 PM

I have read in a couple places that they went out of business

thirdchildhood 10-14-2013 05:58 AM

Yup, phone is disconnected. The plexiglass panels can be cut out pretty easily but the attaching hardware would be hard to make.

eddie 10-14-2013 02:42 PM

I'm pretty sure I have a new old stock pair, will check tonight at home.

thirdchildhood 10-14-2013 06:03 PM

I would be interested in one or two in any condition for the right price. Take care of the OP first though. I'd start making these with aluminum clamps but there is a patent.

I have what looks like a complete set with instructions. The plexiglass has some hazing, but all the hardware appears to be there. Even the instructions and directions on how to enjoy all weather boating!

thirdchildhood 10-15-2013 09:54 AM

If Brad does not want them then I would like to be second in line if we can agree on a price.

I have one. The plexiglass is pretty crappy, but is easily replaced. C_Spray at msn dot com.

I forgot to come back here and say that I did buy the pair from eddie. thirdchildhood, I have been meaning to message you about the wind deflectors. In the time I spent looking for the windaways, I managed to build a working wind deflector that does not require drilling of your windshield just like the windaway. Soooo if this doesn't work out for you I can send you pics and a parts list of what I used.

I am trying to work out a deal with C Spray and hopefully get the one that he has for a spare. Running a 22 foot boat on the Great Lakes means that there will be some low speed stuffs when things get rough. That is how I lost one and cracked another. I have a set now but would need a replacement if (when) I lose another. This picture shows how well they work on my aluminum wind screen.

Brad, I'd love to see a picture of what you came up with and I bet others would too. You'd have to go through photobucket or similar site though. Or email me pics to carlchamberlain222 @ gmail.com Thanks.

Pic won't work now for some reason but they work and look great on my boat.

Got my wind-away today. This deal was done on trust. I am happy with the part. Want to send positive feedback but don't know how.
