For as hard to find as they are and the fact that there is very few replacement parts around >Housings shafts<.Just raise your engine and transom assy up 2 inches and add a nose cone.You will than have the same results and can get parts. It is not that hard to do.Done it before.Also it only cost about 200.00 bucks to do.Just my 2 cents. JOHN SR

You may want to change to a through hull and sea water pump if you go this route. They are notorious for clogging. They do work, and I know from experience they work awesome on the xlt 185-especially with a blower.
