search on e-bay plenty to be found used and new

Consider the Holley 1150 CFM Marine Dominator. It will be a major difference in your boat from the standard Holley racing carbs.

Still looking....

Thanks I'CE, looks like I may have missed a few used on ebay...

What's the difference between a marine dominator and the standard besides the j tubes?

I'CE 12-28-2016 02:17 PM

Ran 2 circuit non-marine on some 540 builds for years with no issues. Set up 1:1 linkage with PV and jetted for tune. I did add the J-tubes which can be purchased separately. Maybe Ben or others can chime in.

I got curious and looked up the 1150 marine dominator on Holley's website and I only found 2 circuit 1050's in a marine version. I also looked up the list numbers and specs for a marine 1050s and compared them to a standard 1050 and I didnt see any difference. Same PV, linkage, squirters, etc.... I'm probably missing something...

I have a Holley 9377, bought it a long time ago and used it for about 1 hour. Looks a little rough on the outside but it's essentially unused. $400, if you're interested please contact via email [email protected] or call/text 504-343-0042.

i have a 1150 that was used for some dyno testing then put on the shelf.it is a 3 circuit and like new.edit in.i can give the list number in the morning.

The major difference is in the idle circuits. The standard 1150 Dominators are mostly used in drag racing so there isn't much need for for a good idle circuit. You will fight idleing in gear forever with the with the auto based Dominators in a boat. You will also have a lot more drama trying to dock with the auto versions of any sized Dominators. Today with close to 800 HP we can idle at 500 RPM in gear like we had EFI.

^^^ interesting. Are the majority of marine carbs set up different?

89Force235 12-31-2016 02:40 PM

Thanks everyone! I'm not sure about running a 3 circuit on my set up. (It's similar to a 525sc but more boost and cam.) I've never messed with a 3 circuit carb before so it's uncharted territory for me.

I actually started a thread here as I've found a few 3 circuits...

Correction: the carbs we are using are these http://www.jegs.com/i/Holley/510/0-80905BK/10002/-1. These are not marine specific carbs but the 1150 Ultra Dominators have the advanced idle and midrange circuits. We then ordered the J-tubes direct from Holley. It is hell getting old.....

now that is a super charger with PV in each carb as you can see and hear it is tuned... with NA that can be done too with the same throat sound...under a truck load similar set up...big heavy boat .. with load

Thanks Mike. I appreciate the offer but I think I'd better hold off for a bit and see if I can find a 2 circuit..at least until I get a better understanding of how to adjust the intermediate circuit on one of these...

So far, especially with this project, it's not been cost effective for me to wander to far from what I know....

Just bought an 1150 cfm, 2 circuit last night. Thanks OS and also to everyone who offered.
