Looking for mercury pcm 555 manual for 496 engine
 

I now have a 2002 496-MAG-HO and want to learn about the PCM-555 system. Anyone have repair/diagnosis one for sale in printed,downloaded PD,F or Mercury number to order?

there is updates on this manual as Merc put out 4 of these manuals thru out the years. IMO if one is going to perform their own diagnostics all 4 is best to have. I have all them. Also it is best to run engine serial numbers to see what is outstanding per engine and get all the related updates and SB,s. This is where a dealer comes into play. Most forums do not know any of this info that the industry provides dealers only with that really helps out for more detailed indepth of issues plus there is more than 1 manual for procedures. .

I have a couple of basic Merc manuals in pdf that covers the MEFI's and PCM555. I haven't looked through them entirely to see whats in them. I only grabbed them because I needed the wiring schematics. I believe they just tell you how the systems work, describe the different parts and alarms, and show the wiring.
