I assume $650 vs $1200 when you are not going to utilize all aspects of the Daytona box. I'm still wondering why I'm going EFI when I have a perfect combination that has been flawless for 16yrs with perfect AFR's.

I'd be inclined to buy your essentially new Daytona for 375 or whatever you'd take for it before I'd buy an old used Crane for what maybe $100 (I actually have no idea what a crane box is worth). A current product with tech support, quite a few years newer and room for expansion to future needs. Depending on his exact engine specs some of those extra features might actually be something he can use now like the idle stabilazition. I actually had an ulterior motive for asking the OP that question. His response is what interests me.

Fair statement. And I own both and reluctant use the Daytona cause the Crane works so well for my needs.

Now to the real question at hand. Do you own Jody's old boat? The all what Larry Smith 38'? If so, that is one sick piece of hardware, one of my all time favorites!
