Just an FYI, there are early aluminum manifolds with huge ports that flow very well but have less corrosion resistance and later cast iron manifolds that are not so desirable but are more durable, and heavier!

Yeah that’s what I’m looking for is a clean set of aluminum ideally.

I probably need to clean up my inbox. Thank you for letting me know. I just messaged him and asked if he has the alum early models and not the later sea anchor 150lb ones lol. I’ll let you know if I’m he has what you’re looking for.

I wouldn’t be opposed to cast either. Thanks

Just curious how long do cast iron manifolds last?

My aluminum 496 manifolds are 18 years old and going strong. Last time I put a camera inside they looked great. Probably will be posting tomorrow that mine took the engine out. 🙄

Keep looking for the aluminum manifolds. I found a brand new set a couple years back. Have them sitting in my basement. They are out there.

I am not sure how long they last to be honest. With good maintenance should last a long time. For what I’m doing I can use either cast or alum. I would prefer a really clean set of alum but we will see what I find. Crossing my fingers I can find a mid production aluminum set without the water rail!

Have a take off set of manifolds not sure if alum or not will have to check off a fresh water boat.
