I know they’re not the same, but CP has these in the discount section |
Dan are you looking to replace yours all together with new assemblies??
If the bulbs are just not bright enough try to find someone in the aviation industry. I had the same exact light on my 86' 30ft Scarab....bulbs sucked so a guy we used to know that was heavy into planes said the bulbs looked the same size as his planes landing lights. The only thing was they were 24v bulbs. I said lets try it anyway since he had an extra set. They fit perfect into the housing and even at only 12v they were 100x brighter then the stock crap.... :) |
Appearantly there are 2 versions of these lights.
One that is serviceable where the light can be replaced, this version is heavy duty and mostly aluminum. (morse brand) The other is all plastic, non serviceable, cheap, I believe that is the Sierra version. and the light is not replaceable. I have both, I would like the Morse version so that I can replace the light. They don`t much as far as docking lights but I found green and red replacements bulbs so that I can use them as navigation lights since the previous owner screwed up the lights at the helm and reversed the them. (red is on starboard) Unfortunately when I try to switch them paint starts peeling off with the lights so they have top stay. Anyway I should probably just put a seperate navigation light in the front of the boat and call it a day . |

I lso thought about a trim ring and just a new light all together like https://www.walmart.com/ip/Chrome-Do...hts/1270565065 but I like the look of the old school lights .. |
A number of years ago I made some offroad lights with Napa 4509 aircraft landing lights they were 13V - 100W and are around 4.25 - 4.5" they lit the whole road up. take the bulb in and match it

Dan, cut the paint around the light with a razor first, then remove the light. If the hole is not right we can make some new bezels out of stainless.
