WANTED Pair of drop in ready motors
 
ISO pair of freshly built or low hour motors. Looking for 600-650hp range if they are built please be able to provide build sheets ect. Will also consider factory Merc power 525’s or 500’s.

We are working on some larger turbos with a larger turbine AR to help control the boost creep. As soon as they are on the engines I’ll have updated power numbers (late March). But at the moment they are 875TQ/825HP at 10PSI.

They come with Holley EFI and upgraded fuel and oil systems.

Freshening up a pair of Merc 500efis currently. Blocks and heads are at machine shop now. Engines are out of an 02 Formula 400ss with under 500 hours. Engines were factory sealed and had no issues. Pulled them to upgrade to 525’s and decided to do full refresh instead of just head job. Can private message me or comment on here for my number for anyone interested.

how do you expect to get those under most hatches

They don't look terribly tall - figure most carbed engines have a taller intake manifold, then the carb / tbi, then the 3"+ marine air cleaner I could see them being about equal

Then again my perspective from the picture alone could be way off and my reasoning equally wrong

They actually are the same height as the CMI sport tubes. That was one of the reasons we partnered with CMI for the header design and manufacturing. They knew how large the envelope was they had to stay in.

I have a pair of 40hrs on complete rebuild 525sc clones but improved, made 620 with 177's. I sold the baby blowers with the plan of putting 8-71's on them. Long blocks minus intake $12,000.00 US for the pair. Up in Canada so could be more of a pain than it's worth.

Whipples 509. Gen 6 502 built by Ron Potter. Low hrs. complete drop in. Exhaust, fuel pumps, bellhousing etc. 3.3 whipples. Low boost 650 hp. 44us Fresh service. Plugs, oil , filters, seapump, cap rotor.
