In search of an early alpha1 I think it’s even before they were called “ alphas “ it’s a 1.65 ratio standard rotation used in working order is fine. Freshwater preferably for a customer

Will an SEI one work?? Sterndrive Engineering: For Alpha One® Gen I Sterndrive Applications

You can replace that with any alpha 1 gen 1 of the same ratio. That drive is a MR-1 or "pre alpha" the alpha 1 gen 1 will bolt into place of that just fine.

Also that 165 on the outdrive is the HP rating of the engine, not the gear ratio. I'm unsure off the top of my head what the gear ratio for a 165 hp motor is, I want to say 1.81

Found one local thanks guys! It was a 1.65 ratio btw according to the serial number stamp!
