i know the V's don't like the hydro's,not sure about the cat's let us know how it works, really like the 31 :drink: |
Re: 1st time out this season
I'm running the Bravo four blades on my 31 and seeing about 10% slip
|
Re: 1st time out this season
naughty kitty, what power do you run what pitch, fixin to try a set of 32bravos. does your boat carry the nose.

Re: 1st time out this season
I run the Bravo 32s through 1.5 gears with 496HOs. Best I have seen is 91 on GPS at 5,000 RPM which calculates to 9.9% slip (although most of the time I am closer to 13%). These props where labbed by a local shop to Warlock. I had the props scanned by Propulsion Engineering outside Chicago and they recommended a stock prop over these as the lab work from blade to blade and prop to prop was not consistent and I had lost a fair amount of blade.

Re: 1st time out this season
Ran A Set Of Non Labbed 32s Went 106 On Gps Saturday, 103 Sunday, Still Trying To Figure Out Were To Trim The Damn Thing For Speed.HAVE A VIDEO OF THE DASH AT 5100RPM THE GPS SHOWS 100MPH. SO LAB THE 32S AND MAYBE 110MPH? WE WILL SEE

Re: 1st time out this season
Your not to far off if you have 1.36 ratio drives. At 100 MPH, 5100 RPM you are only at 12% slippage (which is around what I am seeing with the same hull). Best you can hope for is a couple more RPM.

Re: 1st time out this season
Hey Johnnyboatman, glad to hear it is running good. If you are running Bravo drives watch out  I just put on two IMCO SC drives because one of the Bravo's was aboout to turn loose. Too much torque in blower motors. I also turned my motors up about a hundred more HP and am going to 5 blade props. I am going out this Saturday to test. I waill also be out on Memorial Day weekend. Someone else asked abut carrying the nose. We are going to the 5 blades and having them worked to get more nose lift. My boat doesn't carry the nose too well. I was also running over 20% slip with bravo 30 pitch four blades.
 I was also on the rev limiters. |
Re: 1st time out this season
yes i know about blowing the outdrive, replacing one as we speak. i switched to 32 bravos spinning 5300 in chop 106 on gps :D a little tweaking the props turning 5500 should knock on the door at 110 i hope

Re: 1st time out this season
can anyone tell me why are boats so rediculasly exspensive (not this one in particular just boats in general ) they cost as much as Lambrginis and it looks like not much more than some fiberglass and motors ,..i know you can buy a mercrusier 496 HO for 22,000 new..so why would a new boat be 80 or 90 thousand for a 26 or 27 foot and 150 to 200 thousand for one over 30 ft ..isnt it just fiberglass and some seats ...is it just HUGH profit margins or am i missing something ...they cost more than houses and as much as a lamborgini ?
Please educate the NOOB here |

My buddy is about to drop better than 600K on his MTI. 150-200k isn't really that stiff. Price a pair of 525EFI's with ITS and Xr's and the engine monitor system...it adds up quick. |
Re: 1st time out this season
yea , 200k for a 32-34 with 525's would be pretty good.
