The owner said its a 549 CI motor, built by his brother in law's business, Tom Fuel. Tom Fuel supposedly builds motors for top fuel hydros. No build sheet available. Did compression check and ea cylinder exactly at 110 psi and ea cylinder only took one- two compression cycles to get psi. Motor runs extremely smooth, even with outrageous lope of idle.

Owner said he paid $90,000 for motor and drive setup. I have done a lot of searching and found a dealer with a boat with a Tom fuel motet in it here on west coast So calif. can't find any info on Tom Fuel.

Owner had construction business with 200 employees and lost everything. I think divorce was involved too, owner was moving to Canada.

I asked owner about drive and he said it was built to be behind this motor and he never had a problem with it. Motor and drive in boat was replaced with this set up 2011 and used one summer. Boat sat for over one year and looked it when I got it. But, literally only one 2 in scratch on entire boat on one sponson.

170 hrs on boat, 30 hrs on motor and drive line.

I haven't had a chance to put it in the water yet - too damn cold! Had great concern about motor so I winterized same day it arrived here in Lake Tahoe from southern calif.

Owner said it did 115 with more in it. But, it's only got a 30 degree pitch prop. I also have a 32. Owner said he was never beat in a drag race. Bet it pulls very strong with the 30 prop! Someone here can do the slip numbers. Bet it runs great with the 32! Motor is supposed to have 6000 rpm redline, but I would never take a big block over 5500 rpm.

Anyone have the formula handy to determine top speed at 6000 rpm?

You should really tile out some of those pictures, that is some raw nasty boat porn :) That engine is ridiculous in the best possible way.

Yeah, that's what I thought when I saw it. Thanks! Asking price of $39,500 is great IMO. Boat is worth $55K. Got my Hustler Talon 377 posted on OSO, now to get this Warlock posted.

Once you go cat you'll never go back . :lolhit: Warlock cats give an incredibly soft stable ride . They love heavy wind chop and tore up water . When at speed the boat is very predictable and feels as if on rails . Proper trim angle is required in turns . Slight bow rise out of the hole bump up on the trim and the boat falls flat and is an instant rocket ship . At 50mph she's packin' air and gets nice and stable . I hope this helps anyone considering this boat . :eekdrop:

Thanks! Very true. My best VHull was a 29 Laveycraft. Extremely nice open bow boat. Had several large steps in hull, had 12 people in on 4th of July. Hit 45-50 mph with Paull Phaff 600 HP motor. Mind you, this was at 6250 ft elevation - a testament to the bull design. With 4, in decent Lake Tahoe open water afternoon chop it wasn't bad. BUT, my Warlock 31ft SXT rode flat and smooth compared to it!!! Like comparing a Mercedes to a solid front axle truck on a potholed rd. not to dis the Laveycraft, it was acceptably smooth for a guy - not my wife...

But, I think a warlock world class 29 might beat the Laveycraft with identical motors and drives.
